Sequin Shaker Tutorial

Hello and Happy Tuesday!

I don’t know about you, but the weeks are flying by for me. I just looked at the calendar and realized that Easter is a mere five days away!

For today’s card, I used some the Teeny Heart Background and Happy Easter sentiment from DeNami, along with the Happy Easter set from Lawn Fawn. Oh yes and some Pretty Pink Posh sequins…but that’s pretty much a give in nowadays, right? *wink*

When you think of Easter, do you tend to think of pastel or bright colors? My initial thought is always pastel, but I have such a hard time using them and usually opt for brighter colors with a little pastel mixed in.

We all know I have sequin shakers on the brain lately. With a mere 11 days until the BIG Sequin Shaker Blog Hop, I thought it was time to bring a revamped video tutorial. Now if you’re anything like me, you might initially be intimidated or overwhelmed with the idea of a shaker. I promise, it really isn’t that hard! Take a look at the video and you can see for yourself….

In case you’re wondering what kind of sequin shaker you can create, here’s a few that I’ve made in the past. Honestly, you can create them for just about any occasion! Just type in “sequin shaker” into the search bar on my blog and you can see all of the ones I’ve done so far.

I hope that you ALL can participate in the blog hop on April 26th. If you missed the announcement, or want to look at the details again, CLICK HERE. Don’t forget, there are exclusive savings coupons in that post, too!

  1. Paulina, the shaker card video was excellent. You gave very specific directions. I want to make a shaker card now and be able to make more later. I would also use them for those who need a lift or a special card surprise. Thank you so much for the directions and ideas.

  2. You won me over w/your shaker cards! I did make one last week w/a mason jar stamp (the post is on my blog!) But it’s funny how most things in the craft world make a come back! I need to purchase the foam tape today!! Thx for sharing! Love the video!

  3. Thanks for the great video – I love shaker cards – need to give it a try

  4. Wonderful shaker cards! Thanks so much for the video, this is a great tutorial!

  5. Hi Paulina!

Your shaker cards are just adorable! I really appreciate you taking the time to create a video tutorial for this. I’ve never made a shaker card because I thought they were difficult. But, you have showed me that I can do it! I’m excited to put what I’ve learned into action. I’ve shared your video link on my blog, too. Because EVERYONE should know how to make a shaker card, especially when they include your gorgeous sequins inside!

Thanks again! Have a Happy Day!
