10 Minute Craft Dash Returns!

Pretty Pink Posh: 10 Minute Craft Dash Returns!

If you read the post title and have followed the Pretty Pink Posh blog for a while, I’m sure you are super excited. For this special challenge blog hop, I am bringing back the popular 10 Minute Craft Dash and honestly, I couldn’t be more excited. This challenge is where I challenged crafters to create something within a 10 minute time frame. I really wanted to encourage crafters that they didn’t need to set aside a whole day, or several hours, to create something.

The super sweet Nina-Marie has created a post, along with a coordinating video, for today’s post. Let’s check out what she made…

Nina-Marie here with you today sharing a fun project -and challenge- with you today! This post is in collaboration with Altenew’s Ultimate Craft challenge and here at Pretty Pink Posh, we are featuring a fun 10 Minute Craft Dash.

I’ll be using a combination of Pretty Pink Posh and Altenew products; the Floral Shadow stamp set and Thanks die (from Altenew), along with the Birdie Friends stamp set, Scallop Borders die set and 3mm Sparkling Clear and mix sequins (all from Pretty Pink Posh).

Pretty Pink Posh: 10 Minute Craft Dash Returns! In this challenge, you are required to make a card or project in 10 minutes or less! When I got the assignment topic for this post I knew this would be fun, but also REALLY challenging for me because I usually make cards that are pretty involved in the coloring process. I knew immediately that coloring of any length would be out of the question because it takes me MUCH longer than 10 minutes to color something in! Haha!

Pretty Pink Posh: 10 Minute Craft Dash Returns!

Another thing I do not do when I am making a card is actually PLAN; I like to create as I go along. I sometimes have a general idea with the direction of a card when I start out, but nothing real definitive. But for this, I knew I needed a solid plan to stick to because of the limited amount of time I had to work with. This layout for my card was super easy to put together, but at the same time, shows off the gorgeous floral pattern in the background perfectly!

Speaking of the background; I wanted to color SOMETHING in this card, but because of the 10 minute time frame, I knew it was going to have to be a fast technique. In this video, I’ll be sharing how I created this beautiful watercolor background in less than 4 minutes!

Be sure you check out the video below to see that, along with how I created the entire card in a total of 9 minutes and 42 seconds!

… I DREAM of crafting faster, one day maybe getting a card done in less than one day => THANK YOU for sharing :)

  46. Gorgeous card! I am in awe that you created it in under 10 minutes. Me, I can’t get much of anything done in 10 minutes. Thanks for the inspiration!

  47. I don’t think I could ever do a 10 minute card – I start
out with an idea but then I’m changing it as I go along.
You did a great job with completing your project in
    10 minutes.
    thanks for sharing.

  48. I have never been able to create a card in 10 minutes. I think it’s impressive and awesome that you created this beauty in under 10 minutes. Wow!

  49. This is such a great challenge! I had to put off making a card the last two weeks for lack of time, as i take so long to plan, organise…So to actually see its possible…and with the beautiful Altenew stamps too, is very encouraging! Thanks for sharing your beautiful card.

  50. Under ten minutes!!! I feel like I take a whole day to make a card!! AHHH a challenge indeed.

  51. I don’t think I have ever completed a card in 10 minutes or less.
    Beautiful.

  52. Oh, wow, how fun that your brought back this favorite challenge, Paulina! I’ve missed it!!! Your card is spectacular!! Hugs, Darnell

  53. Wow, is that one bright card but that’s exactly how I like my cards and my clothing, bright. I also love sequins and sparkles but that’s okay that you didn’t use any. I have florescence crayons and markers and colored pencils so I know I have this color green. I also love that it only took you less then 10 min. to create. If I know exactly what I want to create, where all my supplies are (sometimes it takes me 10 min. just to find them! LOL) and it doesn’t require a ton of coloring, I too could probably do one in 10 min. I never thought to time myself but then again, I seem to be doing a lot of coloring lately so that takes me more then 10 min.
This was the longest hop I have ever been on and I loved every min. of it. My legs are tired from all that hopping and my broken foot is sore but I sure had fun. Now if I could just win something so I can tell everyone I did all this hopping and won something. Thanks for letting me see your colorful card!

  54. Nina-Marie, I don’t think there’s a stamping challenge out there that would stump you. Your card is just lovely. Even CASEing yours, I doubt I could meet the 10-minute challenge. Just might try it again though. Great hop!

  55. Awesome card, and I love the concept of this blog hop, thanks for being part of it. Also, love learning about new challenges!

  56. Awesome cards! Thanks for the inspiration and for the opportunity to win!

  57. That card was created in 10 minutes? Wow ! The only thing i can do in 10 minutes is create a mess. HA HA!
I love the bright colors – super gorgeous card!

  58. Can’t believe you created this in 10 minutes, very pretty card. Love the colors.
