Halloween Candy Wreath

Hello there! It’s Keeway and I’m so thrilled to be here today as guest designer for Pretty Pink Posh. I don’t know about you, but I have been drooling over all the projects made with the October release. This release is a knock out and just filled with cuteness!!

We’re just less than 2 weeks away from Halloween so I thought it would be a perfect time show off the Halloween Friends set in today’s card. The first cutie that caught my attention in this set is the butterfly bear so I just had to color him up immediately!

I started by stamping the bear in a milk chocolate hybrid ink on white cardstock, and colored him with copic markers. I then die cut him with the Halloween Friends coordinating dies.

Next, on an A2 sized white cardstock base, I used a circle die to help me draw a circle in pencil to serve as guidelines for stamping my circle of candy. Of course, you can use anything to help you draw the circle. Sometimes I grab my washi tape, or water bottle, or whatever happens to be in my reach!

I then used the same milk chocolate hybrid ink and stamped the small candies and 2 of the ghosts in a circle. Then, I was able to color them in with copic markers.

The last part is positioning what goes in the middle. I used my mini MISTI to help me position the sentiment. I stamped it once before adding my butterfly bear, and then once after gluing the bear down. If you look closely, part of the first “t” touches the bear’s right wing, and the MISTI helped me ensure that I am stamping the same place. That finishes my “almost” single layer card!
