Wishing You Sunny Days

Today we have a sweet and cheery card by Jeanne. I have a feeling this card will bring some welcome smiles and giggles!

Pretty Pink Posh: Wishing You Sunny Days

I don’t know about you, but I’m in serious need of some sunshine and blue skies!  These little bears from Halloween Friends are just the ticket.

Pretty Pink Posh: Wishing You Sunny Days

I know this little bear is dressed up for Halloween, but he makes me smile every time I see him.  I think he is the sweetest butterfly ever!

I stamped the little bears with Memento ink and colored them up with Copic Markers.  Next I cut them with the coordinating die cuts and added some accents with a white gel pen.

The cloudy sky was easy to create.  I made a template from a piece of cardstock cut with the scallop border die.  Next I rubbed in distress ink moving in a circular motion from the template on to my card stock panel.   Move the cloud template every inch or so and re apply ink.

Seriously aren’t these guys the cutest?  They’ve got me dreaming of Spring!  And yes.. I’m smiling too!

Wishing you sunny days too my friends!

  1. Oh Jeanne, this is absolutely PRECIOUS! Beautiful blue sky! I could use a little sunshine myself as we just had a Nor’easter here last night. So much for our un-seasonal weather we have been experiencing:( Apparently we have another system coming on Sunday….UGH! I am so NOT a winter person! So THANK YOU for your wonderful sunny card, it has certainly brought a smile to MY face today!

  2. Awesome card. It brought a big smile to me. Just what I needed. Thanks for the butterfly bear card.

  3. Oh, this is so cute!! How clever to use a Halloween set. Thanks for showing us how you made the cloud template. Do you move it up, or start from the top and work down? Super cute!

    1. Hi Laura! I’m so happy you liked the cloud background. Start at the bottom of your card stock panel, and move the die cut border up an inch or so and ink again. You can make the spacing even wider (1 1/2 – 2″) if you want more white showing between the rows.

  4. Totally adorable! Love the bee wings on the bears! Sunny days are the best ones around! I think we all deserve a little sun in each day! TFS!

  5. The idea of using a stamp set out side of it’s seasonal use is awesome. I have to now go look at my images and see what I have. If not I just may need to get this set which I think is a better idea.. I love these little bears. It’s so cute and love the colors. The clouds are awesome. I cut some x-ray film with a cloud like long shape. I will have to try the scallop die cut x-ray film and get a different look. Great fun card. LOVE it. Hope your weather is getting better. We had lots of snow now it’s 10 degrees warmer and raining so flooding.. So ready for spring.

  6. What an adorable card, Jeanne! Those butterfly bears are so cute and colored so nicely. Love how you achieved your cloudy sky, too.
