Vibrant Pansies

 

I began by stamping the images in black, then colouring them with my copic markers. I looked online for some colour combinations – pansies come in so many lovely colours! I decided to go with a bright colour scheme of purple and yellow, and used the following copic markers: BV02, V15, V17, Y00, Y11, Y15, Y17. One tip, if using these colours, is to be careful not to blend them together as the purple and yellow colours can get a bit muddy if you do.

For the background, I chose a piece of patterned paper to complement the yellow in my flowers. From a piece of white card, I die cut one of the the Window Frames die, then layered the panel on the card base with foam tape.

To bring in some more purple to the background, I used the Twine and Bows die set to cut some purple glitter paper, adding them underneath the window frame for a pretty accent on the card.

I layered the flowers and leaves onto the card with a mix of liquid glue and foam tape, where they overlapped the window. The floral cluster image included in this set made arranging the flowers on the left side so quick and easy as it’s already done for you!

I added a die cut sentiment from black card, using the ‘for you’ from the newly released Thankful For You Script. I stacked three layers of the sentiment so it had some dimension. To finish, I added some jewels in marigold and pansy purple – the perfect embellishments for this bright happy card!
